Diane Abbott readmitted as Labour MP
BBC Newsnight understands Ms Abbott will be allowed to stand for the party at the general election.
The Labour investigation into Diane Abbott over comments she made on racism was completed in December 2023.
The first black woman to be elected to parliament, Ms Abbott was suspended from the party in October 2023 after writing a letter to The Observer in which she said that racism was "not a big problem" in the UK.
The Labour Party said at the time that Ms Abbott's comments were "completely unacceptable" and that she had been suspended pending an investigation.
The investigation was completed in December 2023, but the party has not yet announced its findings.
Ms Abbott has apologized for her comments and said that she "deeply regrets" any offence she may have caused.
It is unclear whether Ms Abbott will stand for the Labour Party at the general election.
